2013
Rafa and Clara have a fatal accident in Canada. Clara's kidneys were donated and saved two children.
2014
In Brazil, family members organize a campaign at the Blood Center to encourage blood donation and food collection. In Canada, Clara’s Day at the Park is held in the city where Rafa and Clara’s accident took place, to raise awareness about the importance of organ donation and safe driving.
2015
Rafa's family and friends started a campaign to build the Santa Clara Social Center, in Santa Luzia/DF.
2016
New blood and food donation campaign is carried out in Brazil and Clara’s Day at the Park is consolidated in Canada.
2017
The Center opens and welcomes 48 children. But Rafaela's parents and friends decided to expand the service to children in the region, creating the Instituto Doando Vida por Rafa e Clara.
2018
Activities begin with 50 children at Instituto Doando Vida for Rafa and Clara.
2019
The Institute starts a new year taking care of 60 children, from 7AM to 5PM. The IDV offers a new service to the community: free courses and training workshops for the families of the community.
2020
The number of children cared at the Institute's reaches 66. The pandemic interrupts activities, but a beautiful social assistance work was carried out: food donation, hygiene and cleaning kits were donated to help the families in need. When returning regular activities, all health protocols were strictly followed at the IDV due to the restrictions imposed by Covid-19.
2021
Despite the Covid-19 pandemic and due the flexibilization of protocols and the increasing rate of unemployment in the region, the IDV’s mission to feed families who suffered from hunger gained strength.
2022
80 children, with age 2 to 5, now attended IDV’s childcare center. A cooking-school kitchen was set up to offer courses and workshops for the community.
